This image of jane goodall always brings up interesting feelings for me. When I was much younger, I was told that she was killed in a very brutal way, but later on in life I found out that she is still alive and well. That always makes me happy, especially all of the amazing research she has helped with. What an amazing woman! I also think that this photo was meant to evoke an understanding and love between the chimpanzee and jane. To show how much she deeply cares for these animals. Which touches my heart. = )

I appreciate how you describe your image in a positive light. I like that you've made your description personal. I also believe that the image is showing a caring relationship between goodall and the chimpanzee which is "heart warming."
ReplyDeleteI thought this post was bitter sweet. It made me ask questions like how you thought she died and how you felt when you found that wasn't the case? It's hard to express sentimental thoughts sometimes and I think it's great that you did.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for your nice comments!
ReplyDeleteDian Fossey is the woman you were thinking about who was killed, I believe....
ReplyDeleteYes, it probably was Diane Fossey who you thought died. Diane was killed brutally by Gorilla poachers because of her revolts. She once worked with Jane Goodall. I own this poster, and have it hung on my wall =)
